We all bring our entrepreneurial spirit in our own way. We take responsibility for our topics, proactively push them forward, and independently develop creative solutions.

Impact

With us, you have the chance to work directly at the interface between innovation and the army and quickly and effectively implement innovation projects. Together with the team, you will solve key challenges of the Swiss Army and contribute to strengthening its defense capability.

Empathy & Vulnerability

Psychological safety is one of our most important principles regarding our company culture. To ensure psychological safety within the team, we show a lot of empathy for one another and allow ourselves to be vulnerable.

Openness & Curiosity

Some members of our team already have a military background, while others have founded their own start-up. Some play theater in their free time, while others enjoy studying military history. We don’t always agree, but what unites us is the openness with which we discuss, listen to each other, and are curious about other perspectives.

Humor

Even though we often have intense workdays and deal with serious topics, fun at and with work is never missing. After focused meetings, it’s not uncommon for us to have shared (laughing) breaks, and the mood at our lunch table is almost always lively.

Camaraderie

We support and trust each other and foster a constructive feedback culture so that we can learn and grow together. We also regularly train in the model of ‘Nonviolent Communication.’ Because conflicts are addressed here – but it’s the tone that makes the music.

Growth and development

We invest in the professional and personal development of the team and offer regular training opportunities (e.g. Scrum and other innovation methodologies, problem solving, storytelling, slide design, nonviolent communication, cyber risk). In addition, we provide relevant military content through targeted training or offer insights behind the scenes of the army through various events and activities with the troops.

Muss ich Militärdienst geleistet haben, um bei den Swiss Innovation Forces zu arbeiten?

Nein, im Moment ist unser Mix ungefähr 50:50. Natürlich ist es wichtig, dass wir ein vertieftes Verständnis rund um die Themen der Schweizer Armee haben. Aber wir bauen auch Kompetenzen auf, die komplementär sind zu denjenigen, die in der Armee bereits vorhanden sind. Denn für neue Herausforderungen braucht es auch neue Ideen. Deshalb ist es wichtig, dass wir bei den Swiss Innovation Forces die unterschiedlichsten Blickwinkel auf ein Thema haben. Und genau deshalb bist auch du bei uns gefragt.

Ich stehe Waffen, Krieg und dem Militär generell sehr kritisch gegenüber, Innovation interessiert mich aber trotzdem. Ist die Arbeit bei den Swiss Innovation Forces trotzdem etwas für mich?

Obwohl wir bei Swiss Innovation Forces eine diverse Struktur von Mitarbeitenden und Meinungen haben, haben wir doch alle ein ehrliches Verständnis für den Sinn und Zweck und letztendlich den Auftrag unserer Kundin. Dieser lautet: Die Schweizer Armee verteidigt.
