Projects

We support innovation projects

We accompany the Swiss Army on its path to an adaptive organization. We support innovators as project managers or we coach idea generators so that they can independently drive their innovation projects forward.

Projekte

We drive innovation projects forward in five phases

Depending on the project, steps can also occur in parallel or be shortened. We are not process-driven, but results-driven.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have an innovation project, but I lack the knowledge to move it forward. What can I do?

Perfect! In addition to project managers, we also have project coaches. They will guide you step by step and at your own pace to help you efficiently move your innovation project forward. In this case, also highly recommended: participating in our training programs within the Academy, which are free for employees of the Swiss Armed Forces.

I have a great idea, but I don't have the time to take care of it. Should I still submit the innovation project?

Be sure to submit your idea! Only then can we move the Swiss Army forward together. Maybe others will be passionate about the idea. We are happy to support you within our possibilities.

Do I need to get approval from my superior before submitting an idea?

You do not need formal approval to submit your idea. However, to work on your innovation project, it is essential that a certain (to be determined) portion of your work time be dedicated to the project for a limited period. Additionally, it is beneficial to involve your superior before submitting your idea on InnoBase. This way, you can already discuss your thoughts with someone who also understands the topic at hand.

What do I commit to when I submit an innovation project?

By submitting your idea, you don’t commit to anything. Only through mutual exchange will we clarify whether and how you can and want to move your innovation project forward. We don’t want to create barriers that prevent you from submitting your ideas. Because you know what makes the army better, faster, more adaptable, and more efficient. We need that knowledge to move the Swiss Army forward together. At the same time, it’s also important that innovation projects are driven by people within the organization. This is to prevent solutions from being rejected because they are imposed from outside the organization.
